I had searched for a bagel place and found Ess-a-Bagel on 3rd Avenue. There was a line–always a good sign! I waited for a table while Juan ordered. I snagged one in the corner. Such a tight squeeze.
As I waited, I appreciated the charm of the place–chandeliers, white pillars, marble tables with iron chairs and the shiny, white structured ceiling tiles. The architecture alone in New York is a marvel. A simple bagel shop has class. It is like this all around the city.
The bagels were delicious! They say it is the WATER.
We took a cab back to SoHo. Here are some more leftover Christmas greenery and lights.
I wanted to come to Laduree for more of the tea I so love. It is The Melange Laduree–China and Sri Lanka black teas, rose petals, aromas: orange, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, bergamot, blackcurrant and rose. But of course, I had to see the shop.
Oh, the elegance of this restaurant and bakery! From the pastel colored, tasseled menus, to the brightly colored macarons in the display case, to the French music, to the silver teapot–every detail beautifully done!
Juan ordered a champagne (which we shared) and a lemon pound cake. I ordered tea.
I had an appointment at Bite Beauty Lip Lab at noon. It is in the same area.
I was very excited about this! I got to create my very own shade of lipstick.
I have a separate blog post all about that experience. You can visit that post here.
Unfortunately, it was time to say goodbye to New York. We once again flew Southwest with a layover in Nashville.
How adorable is this Benefit Makeup cart in the airport?! One of each please 🙂
A little reading for the plane ride!
You can’t come to Nashville without eating Tennessee Bar-b-que! Delicious!
Thank you so much for coming on this journey with me! Travel is a passion. I look forward to sharing our travels with you. Feel free to comment.
